When I paint, I try and capture not just a likeness, but also your pet’s character. A lot of my art you see the subject is cropped close. Most of my commissions are painted using acrylics.
I work from photos for portraits as most clients find this more convenient. To produce a good likeness I really do need good clear photos. These shouldn’t be over exposed or too dark. Try and take the photo at the same level as the animal, not from above.
I like to draw a sketch to show how the portrait will be laid out, and once given the go ahead I will keep you informed of the progress with photographs emailed to you.
